1How does LogTally count logs from a photo?
It looks at the log ends on the back of the truck or stack, counts every end it can see clearly and measures the spread of diameters against the rest of the load.
2Is the volume a certified measurement?
No. Volume is a rough estimate to help you plan and check. It never replaces a certified scale or scaler measurement.
3What if some ends are hidden?
LogTally only counts what it can see and says so. Take a second photo from another angle and it will be judged with the first.
4Does it work without coverage?
Take the photos on the skid and the scan runs as soon as you have signal again.
5Which species does it handle?
Radiata pine, Douglas fir and eucalyptus, plus a general setting for other species.
